That’s why we were delighted to hear from Lucy, owner of Her Country Blog. Her Country Blog was born from Lucy’s love of exploring, visiting new places and trying new things. First and foremost, Her Country Blog is not just about the countryside, it is about ‘countries’, ‘historical sites’ and ‘unique places’ you can visit across the UK and world.
We sat down with Lucy for a chat, and here’s what she had to say…
Tell us a little about yourself…
I’m Lucy, an English blogger and content writer exploring the whimsical world of heritage, country and culture. I am a huge animal lover and enjoy getting out and about exploring new towns, cities and walks over the weekend!
What inspired you to start blogging?
I have been writing for years! Getting my voice and love of the world across is really important to me, so I decided to start a blog!
What sort of topics do you enjoy writing about?
The outdoors, culture, country fashion, art and literature.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Exploring local nature reserves, visiting heritage sites and spending time with my pets. I have three dogs who live with my parents! I always thought I would end up getting a little dog of my own, but my partner convinced me to get cats and you know what, they are the best, easiest little things to live with! I also love spending time with my hamster Walter, he was our first pet when we moved in together. Alongside this I love shopping! Book shops, vintage shops, unique fashion shops and gift shops are my bread and butter!
What are your plans for your blog in the future?
For 2019 I am hoping to push forwards and take more photos of myself for the blog. I am hoping to go on lots of adventures, travel, explore new retail and dining options across the UK and blog about lots of new and exiting things we can get up too in the countryside. I am really exciting for this year and to see where my blog goes!
